Please note these specifications are vital to ensure that Spectrum can produce your printed matter correctly, quickly and most importantly without error.

Please note that all files should be supplied laid out in the correct order and how you wish to supply your printed matter, Spectrum charges 150dhs per hour for any design work or creating make ready files.

Business Cards:
For Duplex cards (colour both sides) the files should have the front on one page and the reverse on the second page, 5mm Bleed is required, Spot Colours can included but images should be CMYK, for a solid black please ensure that the tint is 100% K only.

All fonts should be embedded and subset or created to outline to avoid any font crashes.

Saddle Stitched Books:
All inner pages should be placed in one document and the cover on another, they should start from beginning to end in the correct order.All pages left hand pages should contain 5mm bleed on the top, bottom and left hand side and on right hand pages top, bottom and right hand side.

All fonts should be embedded and subset, all images CMYK at 300dpi for best resolution, spot colours can be reproduced, for a solid black please ensure that the tint is 100% K only.

Perfect Bound Books:
All inner pages should be supplied in one document and the covers on another, they should start from beginning to end in the correct order, all pages should contain 3-5mm bleed on all sides. The Cover must contain a spine at the correct width, spine width does vary according to the stock and pagination.

All fonts should be embedded and subset, all images CMYK at 300dpi for best resolution, spot colours can be reproduced, for a solid black please ensure that the tint is 100% K only.

Presentation booklets:
All pages should be supplied in one document from beginning to end in the correct order.

All fonts should be embedded and subset, all images CMYK at 300dpi for best resolution, spot colours can be reproduced. If you have charts and graphs in RGB format these can be printed, for a solid black please ensure that the tint is 100% K only.

Variable Data:
For all variable jobs, we require all the data supplied in a Excel document, all the different fields should be in separate columns with each column titled to the field, e.g. field one name, field two title, and so on.

Please state the font, point size and colour you wish to use in the variable fields.

The image file should be supplied in PDF format, all fonts should be embedded and subset, all images CMYK at 300dpi for best resolution, spot colours can be reproduced, for a solid black please ensure that the tint is 100% K only.

Special Finishing:
Any special finishing on your jobs e.i. die cutting ,embossing, Spot U.V should all be included on a separate PDF and clearly labelled, please double check with us before supplying if you are unsure.

We ask you to supply us with a hard copy proof of the supplied file. Please ensure this proof was generated from the file that you are supplying us. e.g if you are supplying us with a PDF ensure the hard copy was generated from the PDF and not the file from which it was created.
